Mike Leatherwood

Michael Leatherwood, 64, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, February 24, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a member of Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church, and was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed as Plant Manager at Procter and Gamble in Memphis, TN, and as a Department Manager at Alliance Compressors in Natchitoches, LA. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, at Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, at Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Russell Clouse and Bro. Malcolm Garrett. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers include Steven Leatherwood, Jeff Leatherwood, Frankie Stidham, Marvin Marlar, Alex Hart, and Randy Colbert. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Linda Leatherwood of Iuka, MS; his father, Chuck Leatherwood of Iuka, MS; 2 sons, Steven Leatherwood and Jeff Leatherwood, both of Iuka, MS; and 3 sisters, Ann Miller of Iuka, MS, Lisa Leatherwood of Iuka, MS, and Kay Leatherwood of Jacksonville, FL.
