Ilene Smith

Ilene Smith, 90, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at her residence. She was a member of Sardis Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother to everyone she ever met, and enjoyed flowers and gardening. Visitation is scheduled 5 until 9 PM Monday, April 2 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Sardis Missionary Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until service time. Services will be officiated by Bro. John Stockton. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 son – Wes Smith of Iuka; 2 daughters – Ruby Crider (Dennis) of Iuka and Sue Burton (Frank) of Stockton, MO; 1 sister – Louise Barnes White of Iuka; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a daughter in law, Shoney Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde B. Smith; her son, Wayne Smith; her daughter, Wilma Lou Smith; her parents, Wesley and Sally Parsons; and 11 brothers and sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sardis Cemetery Fund.
