Virginia Broughton Anglin, 94, passed from this life, May 31, 2016 at the Tishomingo Manor in Iuka. She was born August 9, 1921 in Tishomingo County to Lee and Ruth Broughton. She married Wendell Anglin in 1943. She lived in Memphis and Atlanta before retiring with her husband to Iuka in 1976.
Services will be Thursday June 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Harmony United Methodist Church with Bro. Wayne Napier and Bro Larry Dollar officiating. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Iuka. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include 5 nephews: Paul Nichols (Pat), David Nichols (Sandra), Sammy Broughton (Cindy), Tommy Nichols (Carol), Phillip Anglin (Nancy), and 3 nieces: Glenda Jones (Emory), Jennifer Foret (Patrick) and Donna Nichols.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Anglin; her parents, Lee and Ruth Broughton, a brother, James L. Broughton and a sister Leo Nichols.
Pallbearers will be Larry Chambers, Sammy Broughton, Dennis Shea, Heath Castile, Paul Nichols, Billy Tucker, Earl Solomon, and Art Gaines.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 1, 2016 from 5PM until 8PM at the funeral home.
