Michael “Mike” Carlton West died Monday, June 13, 2016 in Marion, Illinois. Michael was self-employed and enjoyed reading books, watching movies, listening to music, spending time on the computer and playing videos games. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam Conflict. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Dr. Joseph Turner. Interment will follow in Tishomingo Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his mother, Eron West of Hernando, MS, his daughter, Emily Morris (Charlie) of Tupelo, MS, his brother, Dan West (Dena) of Independence, MS, and 3 grandchildren, Maddie Morris, Riley Walker, and Mallory Walker. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy C. West and a daughter, Kristi Walker. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
