Shirley J. Arnold

Shirley J. McDougal Arnold, 63, of Tishomingo, MS, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tn. Mrs. Arnold was a member of South Crossroads Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, going to auctions, and cooking. She enjoyed being with friends and family and she never met a stranger. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, July 15, 2016, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Tim Ryan and Bro. Franky Smith. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Pallbearers will be George Robinson, Mack Wilemon, Zach Bryant, Brian Hudson, Joseph McNatt, Steve Wright, Kasey Gurno, and Kenneth Embry. Honorary pall bears will be Scottie Grisham, Greg Gilmore, Joey Gilmore, and Charles “Humpy” Durham. She is survived by her husband, Alton Jerry Arnold of Tishomingo, MS; 1 son, John (Mary) Maxwell of Tishomingo, MS; 1 daughter, Scharla Huff of Iuka, MS; 1 stepson, Brian Hopper of Horn Lake, MS; 1 granddaughter, Abby Huff of Iuka, MS; 1 grandson, J.C. Maxwell of Tishomingo, MS; 1 step grandson, Michael Hopper of Horn Lake, MS; 1 step granddaughter, Christine Hopper of Horn Lake, MS; 1 great granddaughter, Faithlynn Huff of Iuka, MS; 1 step great grandson, Philip Hopper of Horn Lake, MS; 1 brother, Billy West of Tishomingo, MS; 2 sisters, Mary Sue (Robert Allen) Wright of Iuka, MS and Martha Pardue of Tishomingo, MS; 1 sister in law, Betty Gilmore; and special friends, Babs Curtis, Betty Sims, Leigh Ann Glover-Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Rosie Wilson McDougal; 1 brother, James David “Popeye” Wilson” West; 1 son in law, Don M. Huff; and 1 brother in law, James E. Pardue.
