R.K. "Diddler" Thorne

R. K. “Diddler” Thorne, 94, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Monday, October 17, 2016, at the Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. He was a member of Snowdown United Methodist Church, and enjoyed fishing at Eastport and looking for Civil War relics. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Donny Riley. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 PM on Wednesday, October 19 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived 1 niece – Jina Akers (Sterling); 1 nephew – Jeff Vaughn; 3 great nieces, Emily Akers, Elizabeth Akers, and Christina Johnson; 3 great nephews, Evan Akers, Casey Cumber, and Jeffrey “Zane” Vaughn; and 1 sister in law, Helen Vaughn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny Thorne; his parents, Edward and Dora Thorne; his brother, Jack Thorne; and niece Lynn Cumber and her son Chase.
