Dorothy “Ms. Dot” Gober, 86, of Iuka, MS, died Friday, June 30, 2017, at Tishomingo Community Living Center. She was a member of Fifth Street Baptist Church, and also a member of the Red Hat Club. She was known for babysitting around the community for 30 years, and enjoyed gardening in her spare time. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Visitation will continue on Sunday, July 2 from 1 PM until 3 PM at Fifth Street Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 2, at Fifth Street Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Tony Curtis. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jonathan Bonds, Jimmy Stevens, Michael Smith, Mack Goddard, Harold Julen, and Tony Bishop. Honorary bearers will be the ladies of Fifth Street Baptist Church. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Claudis Gober of Iuka; one son, Gene Gober (Angela) of Iuka; one sister, Billie Bishop (Tom) of Nesbit, MS; six grandchildren, Lisa Stevens (Jimmy), Donna Bonds (Jonathan), Joey Bain, Jessica Smith (Michael), Megan Goddard (Matt), and Tyler Gober (Amy); and 13 great grandchildren.
