Alta Z. Jones

Alta Z. Jones, 85, of Iuka, MS passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at The Hospitality House. She enjoyed shooting pool and dancing. She was a member of the Red Hat Organization and a member of the Iuka Baptist Church. She is survived by her sisters, Lee Williams (Roy), Shirley Brown, Deanna Forbes, Linda Lambert, and Kate Warren (Ed); her step daughters, Melissa Cooper and Mechelle Kay; her nieces and nephews, Angela Agee, Page Mathis, Lori Brown, Bradley Franks, LeeAnn Roberson, Sherry White, Chris Middleton, Deanna "DeeDee" Metherall, Jeremey Lambert, Paul Warren, and Matthew Warren; and several close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brodis and Irene Hamilton Franks; her husband, Cliff Jones; and her siblings, Jerry Franks and Ruth Lovelace. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. A celebration of life will be held on a later date. Donations may be made in Mrs. Alta's name to the Iuka Baptist Church.
