Aprilann L. Rose, 50, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on May 3, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She was born April 21, 1976, in Ogden, Utah, where she grew up working on her grandfather’s mink farm. Aprilann loved spending time outdoors camping and being on the water. She had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs, Runt and Gunner, and her goat, Ruby. She also had a passion for flowers and flower gardening, and she loved music. One of her proudest accomplishments was her talent in armwrestling, where she earned second place in the 2013 U.S. World Armwrestling Championship. Aprilann attended New Salem Baptist Church.

Aprilann is survived by her husband, Howard William "Will" Rose, III; her parents, David and Julie Wardell Messerly; and her son, Cahill Olson. She was a caring and supportive sister to her younger siblings, Cole Messerly (Alicia), Vernon Messerly (Leicie), Amanda Messerly (Jeremy Fredricksen), and Amelia Messerly. She was a proud aunt to Coleton Messerly, Hadlee Messerly, Vergil Messerly, Corblynn Messerly, and Lola Callister. Family also includes her mother-in-law, Helen Harris, and sister-in-law, Abbe Rose. Aprilann was preceded in death by her infant son, Kaleb Olson; and her grandparents, Lucille and Gerry Giles, Jay Wardell, and Grant and Lola Messerly.

Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church, located at 94 County Road 283, Iuka, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., May 9, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at New Salem Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Ron Norvell. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers include Marcus Rose, Thomas Rose, Vernon Messerly, Cahill Olson, Todd Wardell, and Ted Wardell. Cole Messerly will serve as honorary pallbearer.
