Barbara Faye McAnally was born on September 18, 1948, in Tishomingo County, Mississippi. She peacefully passed away on April 13, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka.
Barbara lived a life filled with love and dedication to her family. She treasured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were her proudest accomplishments and she treasured spending time with them. She enjoyed simple pleasures such as reading books, putting together puzzles, and playing Bingo.
She is survived by her children: Sherry Gammill, Jimmy Grant, Marie Free, Christy Watts, and Frankie McAnally. She was a loving grandmother to Jonathan Seratt, Haleigh Powers, Lacie Lomenick, Christina Grant, Sawyer Free, Winston Conner Free, Whitney Watts, Hannah Watts, Riley Watts, Chase Armendariz, Jaydon Gaines, and Zoe Gaines. Barbara also delighted in her great-grandchildren: Kyleona Medley, Kaiden Medley, Marilyn Barnett, Lexi Seratt, John Seratt, Payden Lomenick, Finn Lomenick, Emma Lomenick, Fisher Lomenick, Carson Free, Bentley DeGraw, Ilah Watts, Novalee Hernandez, and Elijah Armendariz. Her siblings, Robert "Danny" Wilson, Michael King, Joe King, and Kathy Crank, also survive her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband, James Grant; her second husband, Frank McAnally; her parents, Robert Gip and Annie Mae Burleson Wilson; her step-father, Herbert "Buck" King; and her brothers, Timmy King and Larry Wilson.
Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Barbara at the Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, located at 302 North Pearl Street. Visitation will be held on April 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service on the same day at 1:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Jamie Nanney. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
Barbara Faye McAnally will be remembered for her generous spirit and her devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
