Barbara Sue Brown Pardue, 78, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home in Iuka. Barbara was an accomplished musician that excelled at the piano and organ. Most recently, she played the organ for Spring Hill Church where she was a devoted member. She enjoyed being an active supporter of not only her church but also her community, and she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Tishomingo County Homemakers Club. She was very passionate about her work as an Educational Specialist with Northeast Mississippi Community College and the WIN Job Center and loved helping people. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed travelling, especially taking cruises with her husband and son or exploring Europe and the Holy Land. She was a fantastic cook and seamstress, well known for her sweet potato casserole and beautiful quilts, and she spent a lot of time researching genealogy. She loved her family greatly and cherished each moment she spent with them.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles Pardue; her son, Brent Pardue; her sisters-in-law, Sheila Brown Speece (Robert), Jimmie Mae McDonald, Loretta Pardue (Rick Dunn), and Martha Pardue (the late James E. Pardue); her brother-in-law, Gaylon Pardue; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loved family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Idell and Robert “Bobby” Brown; and her brothers, Wayne “Mulehead” Brown and Monroe Brown.
