Brenda Stricklin

Brenda Brand Stricklin, 74, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Diversicare of Ripley. Ms. Brenda dedicated a lot of her life to caring for others. She worked at Magnolia Regional Health Center and Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home for over 10 years, sat with many sick and elderly throughout her life, and cleaned houses for several years. She also spent time going to cosmetology school in Birmingham, escorting wide load trucks with Brewer’s Trucking, and jogging books at World Color. When she wasn’t working, Ms. Brenda enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies. She loved spending time outside working in the yard, relaxing on the porch with a cup of coffee, or taking a walk, and she found being in nature very healing, especially the beautiful quartz sands of the Florida beaches she got to walk barefooted in on her trips with her family. Ms. Brenda liked to spend some time watching TV and would consistently keep her family up to date on the latest news of Jack Ivy, Ole Miss Football, and Matt Laubhan. She always enjoyed a good game of cards, a trip to the casino, and a day of thrift shopping or decorating. Above all else, Ms. Brenda loved her family and cherished each moment she got to spend with them.

Ms. Brenda is survived by her children, Sherry Brown (Mike), Tony Poe, Gina Poe, Marty Wilkins (Crystal); her grandchildren, Jerrica Poe Perez, Jagger Brown, Carson Wilkins, Anslee Wilkins, Rosalea Bond, and Alyssa Bond; several great-grandchildren; her cat, Ruben Jane; her special best friends, Linda Brewer of Burnsville, MS, and Sue Tidwell of Oneonta, AL; and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy and Bernice Brand; her brother, Angelo Brand; her sister, Melody Daily.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec ember 9, 2025, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, in the chapel, officiated by Bro. Jason Blakney. Pallbearers include Carson Wilkins, Vance Watson, and Mike Brown.
