Brenda Wilmeth, born on August 2, 1945, in Mississippi, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. She lived a meaningful life marked by dedication to her family and community.
Brenda was a proud charter member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church in Burnsville, MS. Her faith was a central part of her life, and she cherished her involvement in her church community. Additionally, she served as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts, showing her commitment to guiding and nurturing the younger generation.
One of Brenda’s favorite pastimes was traveling, especially with her grandchildren. Her love for exploring new places alongside her family created many treasured memories. She delighted in the company of her grandchildren, bringing joy and warmth to every trip.
Brenda is survived by her children: Clint Wilmeth (Kim), Dakota Wilmeth (Sara), Ginger Newcomb, and Richie Wilmeth. She was a loving grandmother to Jakob Wilmeth, Jax Wilmeth, DeAnna Yow (Trent), James Wilmeth, Tanner Wilmeth (Ashley), Greyson Morgan, and Stella Wilmeth. Her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Marley Yow, Mason Byrd, and Noah Berryhill, also carry forward her legacy of love. Brenda is survived by her sister, Hildred Weddington (Gene), a brother-in-law, Ronnie Wilmeth (Carol) and her nephew, Scott Thompson, who share in the sorrow of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wilmeth, her son, Neal Wilmeth, daughter-in-law, Carolyn Wilmeth, son-in-law, Joe Newcomb, her brother, Junior Prewitt and his wife, Wanda, her sisters, Lois Lambert and Georgia Green, her nephew, Brett Prewitt, and her parents, James Alfred and Ninnie Whitfield Prewitt.
Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation for Brenda will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Rowland Mills Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow in the same location at 1:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Franky Smith. Burial will follow in Rowland Mills Cemetery.
Brenda’s life was one of love, faith, and dedication. Her family and friends remember her kindness, her spirit of guidance, and the joy she found in her relationships. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
