Dale D. Tapp

Dale D. Tapp, 79, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. Dale lived a life of hard work and dedication. He worked at Reynolds for 20 years before becoming self-employed with Weather’s Auto Glass. Throughout the years, he explored many business ventures and was always on the hunt for a good opportunity. He was known to many as the “Mayor of Woodall” because he patrolled the community on his golf cart, keeping an eye out for snakes and geese. Dale loved feeding the squirrels in the park, enjoyed visiting the Amish, and was an avid Alabama football fan. He also loved visiting and exercising at the wellness center in Iuka. Above all, Dale loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. His happiest moments were often the simple ones shared with those he loved most, and that devotion to family will be remembered with great affection.

Dale is survived by his sons, Derrick Tapp, Glenn Tapp (Andrea), Jon Tapp (Melanie), and Nick Tapp; his grandchildren, Coby Tapp (Kylee), Hannah Tapp, Eady Tapp, Avery Tapp, Cooper Tapp, and Andee Tapp; several nieces and nephews, many cousins, and a host of other loved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Earl Tapp; his parents, Glenn and Twala Tapp; and his sisters, Betty Jo Hester and Glenda Brown.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel, officiated by Bro. Dallas Culver. Honorary pallbearers include Ricky Cornelison, Fernando Remedios, Neil Davis, Paul Cutshall, and James Robert Williams. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
