Donald "Doc" Maxwell

Donald "Doc" Maxwell, a loving family man and devoted member of his community, peacefully departed this world at his home on July 30, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on September 5, 1938, in Alabama, Don lived a life filled with cherished memories and meaningful connections.

A remarkable marriage that spanned six decades marked his life; he was the beloved husband of Margie Maxwell. Together, they created a warm and loving home that welcomed their family and friends. Don was incredibly proud of his children, Toby, Matthew, Gina, and Monica, who were a source of immense joy to him. He delighted in moments spent with his grandchildren, Karisa Maxwell, Joseph Maxwell, Angel Adams (Ryan), Tiffany Gann (Blake), Ashley Shepherd, and Thomas Maxwell. He enjoyed being a great-grandfather to Gage, Kreed, Izak, Emberlynn, and Daxton.

Don's passions included hunting and fishing, and he could often be found taking a stroll through the neighborhood. He loved hosting fish fry's on the creek, bringing family and friends together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Velma Maxwell, his son, Donald "Toby" Maxwell, his daughter, Regina "Gina" Maxwell, and his siblings, Rosemon, Dorothy, Jack, Lib, Bill, and Bess.

 Donald "Doc" Maxwell's legacy will continue through the love he showed to his family and the countless memories shared with those he touched throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.
