Dorsey Little Murphy Parker, 85, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at North MS Medical Center in Iuka. Dorsey was a longtime member of Iuka Baptist Church and taught the adult Sunday school class for many years. She always expressed how much she loved her class and church family and always said how much they all meant to her. Before retiring, she dedicated over 30 years to the medical field as an x-ray technician, spending 17 years at Iuka Hospital, several years at Grenada hospital, and a few at Tupelo Hospital. Dorsey always kept up to date with the latest fashions and kept her style current with the QVC network. She enjoyed collecting figurines, especially Emmett Kelly clowns and Barbie dolls. She also enjoyed spending time playing Rook and listening to the Gaither’s and Billy Graham.
Dorsey is survived by her children, Carol Adams (Dave), Jimmy Aaron Murphy, John Matthew Murphy, and Kelly O'brien Murphy; her grandchildren, Jacquelyn Denise Gabel, Jessica Nicole Murphy, Anthony James Murphy, Amanda Lynn Murphy, Ashley Leann Murphy, Emily Ann Murphy, and Macayla Jenae Murphy; her great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Taylor Johnson, Ella Nora Swinford, Elizabeth Lamaire, Madison Lamaire, Hannah Cox, Kylie Leigh Murphy, and Hudson James Murphy; her siblings, Linda Gail Sanders, Sonja Diane Oliver, Faye Sargent, and Margie Burt; and a host of other loved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Parker; Jimmy C. Murphy, the father of her children; her mother, Ruby Mae Fletcher; her father, Winsford Jerome Little; her 5 half-sisters; and her half-brother.
Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Dr. Johnny Hancock. Pallbearers include James Ralph Murphy, Kenneth Gabel, Andy Hathcock, and Dave Adams. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Scott Segars. Interment will be in James Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Dorsey’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
