Earnest Lee White, Sr., "Mississippi's Crocodile Dundee", 70, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, September 26, 2021, at his residence. Earnest was a skilled craftsman, fisherman, and woodsman. He was raised on the river, and loved being on the water. He had a memorable personality and was known for riding his horses through town and his hand-made gunstocks and knives. He loved his whole family and enjoyed spending time and sharing stories with them. He is survived by one son, Earnest Lee White, Jr. (Shannon); one daughter, Jessica Ann Massie (Robert); one brother, Billy R. White; one sister, Nellie White Lomenick; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. White; his parents, Alvie and Emer Gene Highland White; one brother, Raymond White; and two sisters, Polly White Blocker and Shirley White Walker. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. A private graveside service will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Patrick Cemetery in Iuka, MS.
