Hildred Louise Crane, born on September 26, 1943, in Dennis, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, at the Tishomingo Community Living Center. She was a beloved woman known for her warmth, kindness, and fiesty spirit.
Hildred loved attending church at Burgess Creek Freewill Baptist Church, where her faith was a guiding light in her life. She also cherished time spent gardening, finding peace among her plants and flowers. Known for her friendly nature, she enjoyed carrying on conversations with those around her, always ready to listen and share a kind word.
One of Hildred’s proudest accomplishments was her family, especially her grandbabies, who brought her great joy and pride throughout her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kimberly Johnson; her grandson, Doug Crane; and her granddaughter, Ashley Johnson. She also leaves behind her brother, Harold Wayne Turner, and his wife, Joan; her brother-in-law, Eudell Crane, and his wife, Dott; as well as her sister-in-law, Betty Irvin, and her husband, Milton; and her nephew, Randy Turner.
Hildred was preceded in death by her husband, James Crane; her parents, Maston Russell and Violet Earl Turner; and her brother, Russell Paul Turner.
Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cutshall Funeral Home - Iuka, located at 302 North Pearl Street in Iuka, Mississippi. Her funeral service will follow on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the same location, officiated by Bro. Nathaniel Bullard. Burial will follow in Tishomingo City Cemetery.
Hildred Louise Crane’s life was one filled with love, faith, and dedication to family. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
