James Clinton "Hambone" Ham, 79, of Cherokee, Alabama, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at his residence.
He enjoyed all things outdoors, especially hunting and cutting his grass. An avid Alabama football fan, James could often be found watching the Crimson Tide when they were playing. James also liked the craft of woodworking when he was able. His family was his priority, and this extended to his church family as well. James was a thoughtful, caring, and loving person. This was evident in all who knew or met him. His hugs and loving pats on the arm will be missed by all who interacted with him, but especially by his family.
James is survived by his wife, Diane Scott Ham; his son, James "Jamie" Ham (Katie); and his sister, Rose Hayes.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Jewel Ham; siblings, Buddy Ham (Brenda), Carolyn McVay (Gene), Christine Ham (Bob Ed Harvell), and Anna Wanner (Jimmy).
