James Henry Hathcoat

James Henry "Jimmy" Hathocoat, 70, died on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. To all who knew him, Jimmy was a special character. He will always hold a special place in their hearts. Anyone who crossed paths with him no doubt has a story they could tell or a memory. He loved to tell stories and jokes and to make people laugh. He loved kids and was always a prankster at heart. Jimmy is survived by his children, Melissa Hathcoat, Tabitha King (Aaron Hurst), Shannon McMillin (Alston), Brittnay Atkins (Mecus), Jessica Ivy (Eric), and Matt Hathcoat; his grandchildren, William and Aryanna King, Cameron and Eli McMillin, Leland Atkins, and Harper Ivy; his siblings, Annie Miller (Bob), Mavis Lowry (Jim), Sharon Critzburg (Lloyd), Gail Hudson (Larry), Carole Heurlin, Linda Penteris, and Denny Tiliks; his nieces and nephews, Shannon, Zachary, Beth, and Jon; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hazel Ann and Mavis Lynn; and a host of other beloved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Matteo Hathcoat; his mother, Gisela Tiliks; his father, Curtis Hathcoat; and his step-mother, Mary Jo Nunley. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Martin, TN. He will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dresden, TN.
