Jerry H. Richardson, Jr.

Jerry H. Richardson, Jr., of Glen, Mississippi, passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 48. Born on November 4, 1977, Jerry was a kind man with a generous spirit and a personality that left a lasting impression on those around him. He was always thinking of others and was known for his many acts of service, always doing things for others that they hadn't even noticed yet. He was the kind of person who was always there for everyone, and his friends were family to him. Jerry never met a stranger, and those who knew him understood how much heart, humor, and sincerity he carried through life. He had a great sense of humor and a sentimental nature that made him easy to love and hard to forget.

Jerry found joy in the simple things and in the work of his hands. He liked working on cars and tinkering with old clocks, and he loved being outside and piddling in the yard. He also enjoyed cooking, collecting antiques, and gathering sports cards and many other treasures. Jerry was a fan of racecars and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, and he loved old country music, with Merle Haggard and Hank Williams being some of his favorites.

Among the people he held closest to his heart were his twin sister and his great-niece, Harper, who were especially dear to him. Jerry’s life was marked by kindness, loyalty, and laughter. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. The love he gave to those around him, and the warmth he brought into everyday moments, will be remembered by all who knew him.

Jerry is survived by his twin sister, Jamie Vasquez (Travis); his nephews, Jackson Vasquez (Hailie and great-niece, Harper) and Jordan Vasquez; his girlfriend, Niki Birdsey; his beloved puppydog, Jasmine; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Richardson, Sr. and Sharon Richardson; his paternal grandparents, Raymond Richardson and Eunice Richardson; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Radic; and his uncle, Jimmy Richardson.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon on Thursday, 24, 2026, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Eric Jones. Pallbearers include Travis Vasquez, Jackson Vasquez, Tim Deshazier, Brian Lambert, David Armendariz, and David Compton. Honorary pallbearers include Jordan Vasquez and Noah Curtis.
