Laura Rebecca Storment

Laura Rebecca Storment, 88, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church and loved attending and helping with church activities when she was able. Laura was an avid reader, reading everything from her bible to fiction novels, and she was even a board member of the Friends of the Tishomingo Library group. Outside of reading and church, she also enjoyed hand embroidery.

Laura is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Storment; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of other loved family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Altie Elmer and Ezekiel Candler Storment; and her brothers, Candler Fay, Rufus Lyle, Billy Wayne, and Charles Davis Storment.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Tishomingo Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Mark Daily.
