Mae Taylor, born on May 31, 1944, in Mississippi, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the Hospitality House in Iuka. She was a beloved figure in her community, known for her kind spirit and her unwavering love for her family.

Mae had a passion for gardening, and her yard was a testament to her hard work, filled with beautiful flowers that she generously shared with her friends and neighbors. She often enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, a source of great joy for her. Known fondly for always having her Dr. Water handy, Mae leaves behind many cherished memories.

She was a devoted member of the Iuka Church of Christ, where her faith and community involvement were deeply rooted. Mae is survived by her daughters, Tina Joslin (Ronnie) and Missy Hickman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Miranda Brown, Taylor Joslin, Derek Joslin, and Trent Brown (Delia), along with seven great-grandchildren who brought her endless happiness. Mae also leaves behind her life-long friend, Gail Smith. Her siblings, Charles Twitty (Delores), Royal Twitty (Kathy), and Anne Holder (Ronnie), will carry on her legacy.

Mae was preceded in death by her husband, James "Red" Taylor, her parents, Loomis and Audie Mae Twitty, and her siblings: Brenda Burcham, Junior Twitty, Wayne Twitty, Randy Twitty, Sue Twitty, and Jerry Twitty.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Mae's visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Forrest Grove Baptist Church in Tishomingo, MS. Following the visitation, her funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM at Forrest Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Lance Foster. Burial will follow in Forrest Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Odell Randolph. 

Mae Taylor will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she shared with all who knew her. To honor Mae, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forrest Grove Cemetery Fund.
