Marcell Senter

Vivian Marcell Senter, 78, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born on July 7, 1947, Marcell grew up in Smithville and graduated from Smithville High School. She devoted her life to her family, her faith, and her community. She was a longtime member of Harmony Methodist Church and an active member of The Pilot Club for many years. Marcell was also passionate about real estate and spent much of her career serving others through her work.

Marcell had a heart for children and community service. She was the founder of the annual Trunk or Treat event hosted in Iuka, creating a safe and joyful place for children and families to gather and celebrate together — a tradition that continues to bless the community today.

She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, kind spirit, and the deep love she had for her family. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored dearly.

Marcell was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Wayne Senter; her brothers, Jimmy Basham and Randall Basham; her sister, Gloria Jones; her granddaughter, Sydney Robertson; and her parents, Vivian and Marvin Basham.

She is survived by her daughters, Tonia Robertson (Joel) and Tiffany Johnson (Bo); her son, Kevin Senter (Music); her grandchildren, Noah Robertson (Sidney), Andee Robinson (Blake), Isaiah Robertson, Katelin Senter, Klarke Senter, Ashton Johnson, and Hannah Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Jaxon Latray, Ellie Robinson, and Scarlett Robertson; and her brothers Tommy Basham (Penny) and DeWayne Basham (Cynthia).

Marcell leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, service, and generosity that will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will be held at Harmony Methodist Church on Sunday, May 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony Methodist Church. officiated by Bro. Dwayne Thomas, Bro. Doc Dollar, and Bro. Ronnie Goodwin, with a graveside service to follow. Pallbearers will be Noah Robertson, Isaiah Robertson, Klarke Senter, Ashton Johnson, Kerr Jones, and Bo Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be mailed in her memory to Harmony Methodist Church or the Iuka Pilot Club, P.O. Box 1182 Iuka, MS, 38852.
