Melissa Faye Kilough

Melissa Faye Kilough, 67, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Batesville. Melissa was a 1977 graduate of Iuka High School and later went on to get her associate’s degree from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 1997. She was a member of Iuka Gospel Chapel and taught Sunday School classes for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music and watching her beloved chickens.

Melissa is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Garcia (Memo); her son, Larry Kilough (Amy); her grandchildren, Alexa and Ethan Garcia, Katelyn Peterson, Shaylee, Rowdee, Emilee, and Jayme Kilough, and Preston Wright; her great-grandson, Vincent Salazar; her mother, Alice Faye Lewis Poling; her sister, Jill Higginbottom (Anthony); her brothers, Kevin Poling (Tammie), Alan Poling (Conshalla), and Andy Poling (Poppy); and many other loved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry W. Poling.
