Michael "Mike" Paul Hubbard, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born on March 27, 1956, in Mississippi, and he lived a life marked by love, dedication, and a deep sense of community.

Mike was known for his unwavering faith and was a cherished member of the Cowboy Church of Colbert County, where he built lasting friendships and contributed to the life of the congregation. He also loved listening to the church band. His devotion to his family and friends mirrored his commitment to his faith, establishing a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Hubbard; children, Jennifer Bennett, Kimberly Wellington (Wesley), Scott Murphy (Tisha), Eugene Hubbard, and Angel Hubbard; and grandchildren, Chasity Bennett, Cedric Bennett, Ryker Hubbard, Sebastian Farris, Carson Wilson, Aaliyah Wilson, Laramie Wellington, Kaleb Murphy, Shae'a Wilson (Matt), and Chastity Miller (Max). Mike was also a proud great-grandfather to Iris Bennett, Harper Wilson, Emberly Miller, Briella Miller, and Barrett Miller, who brought immense joy to his life.

Mike is also remembered by his sisters, Viola South (Howard) and Jeannie McKey (Billy), who valued his kinship and support throughout their lives. He maintained a cordial relationship with his ex-wife, Evelyn Felks, exemplifying the significance he placed on family ties.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Augustus Hubbard and Dorothy Dodd; his son, BJ Hubbard; his daughter, Jessica Hubbard; his grandson, Jason Scott Hubbard; and his brother, David Hubbard. Their memories live on through the stories shared by Mike’s family and the countless lives he touched.

In his spare time, Mike found joy in fishing and watching NASCAR, passions that allowed him to embrace the beauty of life and the thrill of competition. His zest for life will be fondly remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we mourn the loss of Mike Hubbard, we celebrate his spirit and the love he shared with all around him. His contributions to his family and community will echo through the lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed.
