Reba Maxcine Tesseneer

With heavy hearts and loving remembrance, we honor the life of Reba Maxcine Tesseneer, who passed away on July 23, 2026, at Tishomingo Community Living Center, where she loved spending her days because of her relationships with the other residents, and because of her granddaughter, Chelsey Brown, being one of her caretakers. Born on May 2, 1945, in Iuka, Mississippi, Reba’s journey through life was graced with warmth, resilience, and devotion to her family.

Reba created her life story in quiet, meaningful moments and the loving bonds she formed with those around her. The fullness of her heart was matched only by her generous spirit and down-to-earth nature—a legacy that will be felt for generations to come.

Her life's path began in the nurturing arms of her father, Mack, and her mother, Virgie Robertson, both of whom preceded her in death. She also mourned the loss of her beloved children, Michael Wayne Brown and Jan Pardue, carrying their memories with her always.

Reba’s family was the very heart of her world, and she leaves behind a devoted daughter, Debbie McMeans (Donnie), and a loving son, Johnny Tesseneer (Amanda), whose lives will forever be shaped by her gentle encouragement and steadfast care. Cherishing her memory are her grandchildren: Chassidy Williams (Darren), Casey Pardue, LeeAnn Posey (Derek), Adriana Murphy (James), Atley Tesseneer, Chelsey Brown, Anna Tesseneer, and Kimberly Tesseneer, who will always remember the soft glow of her love, especially during cherished nights spent at her side.

Her legacy continues to bloom in her great-grandchildren: Breanna Thacker (Brandon), Dylan Brose, Sierra Tesseneer, Cora Lee Posey, and Maycie Murphy, along with her great-great-grandchildren, Weston Thacker, and Wyla Thacker. Each one holds a special piece of her heart, imprinted with the lessons and laughter she freely gave. She is also fondly remembered by her nephew, Alton Roberts (Liz).

Reba found joy in life’s simplest pleasures. She spent many contented hours working outside in her yard, her hands nurturing the earth just as she nurtured her family. Her favorite place was always out front, sitting on her porch and watching the rhythm of daily life pass by; in these moments, she possessed a rare peace, observing the world with a kind and knowing smile. Those who saw her riding around town in her white car knew her sense of independence and her spirited embrace of life’s everyday adventures.

Her working years included time at the Red Wood Hut, where her strong work ethic and welcoming nature made her a beloved member of the community. But above all, Reba’s proudest accomplishments were always her grandchildren, whose late-night giggles and sleepy-eyed mornings brought her immense pride and boundless happiness.

Reba’s time with us was defined by unconditional love, simple pleasures, and an unwavering dedication to her family. Her presence was a gentle touch, her home a sanctuary, and her life an inspiration. Though her voice is now silent, her spirit resounds in the memories and traditions she leaves behind—a comforting legacy that time will not diminish.
