A funeral service for Roger Clayton White, 71, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2026, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, with Dr. Randy Bostick officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the service begins. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. White passed away March 5, 2026, at his residence, with his wife and family by his side holding his hands. He was born January 29, 1955, to the late Clarence Clayton White and Nona Marie White. He retired from Packaging Corporation of America after 45 years of dedicated service.

Roger will be remembered for his quick wit, his gentle and kind presence, and his heartfelt smile. He had a love for horses and enjoyed trail riding.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, LeOpal and Estes McMeans; his sister, Judy Annita White; and his brother-in-law, Thomas McMeans and his wife, Kathy.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Carolyn McMeans White of Glen, MS; his son, Roderick Clayton White and wife Christine Droke White of Vestavia Hills, AL; his granddaughters, Caroline Elise White and Mary Clayton White of Vestavia Hills, AL, who lovingly knew him as “Poppa” and brought him great joy; his brother, Randy Steven White and his wife, Jan, of Newark, DE; his sister-in-law, Linda McMeans Hinton and her husband, Claude, of Iuka, MS; and his brother-in-law, James Estes McMeans and his wife, Jean, of Counce, TN; along with a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers include Jason White, Heath Whitaker, Tanner Whitaker, Jason McMeans, Kevin Hinton, Darrell Bullard. Honorary Pallbearers James McMeans and Claude Hinton

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Marissa Natelson Love and her team at UAB Brain Aging & Memory Clinic for the time and care they devoted to diagnosing Roger’s condition.
