Thomas Vernon "Tom" Hollon, age 83, passed away on August 1, 2026, at Jackson General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. He was born on February 10, 1943, in Bradfordsville, Kentucky.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Lucy Hollon and two children Kim Hollon and Sean Hollon.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Hollon; his sons, Brad Hollon (Shana) and Shea Hollon; and his cherished grandchildren, Norah Grace Hollon, Katie Hollon, Cooper Brumley, and Hayden Hollon.

He is also survived by his siblings, Dovie Stanford, Bill Hollon (Sandi), David Hollon (Shelia), Terry Hollon (Belinda), and Sandy Hollon, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Tom dedicated 40 years of his career to Genesco, where he retired from management after years of hard work, leadership, and dedication. Retirement didn't slow him down. He found a second calling as a custodian at Iuka Elementary School, where he faithfully served for 14 years. Tom became a familiar and friendly face to students, teachers, and staff alike. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and genuine kindness touched the lives of countless children, and he was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A lifelong fan of Kentucky Wildcats basketball, Tom rarely missed a game. Family and friends always knew where to find him whenever the Wildcats were playing. He also found great joy in tending his garden and caring for his yard, taking great pride in the beauty he created around his home.

Above all, Tom treasured his family. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, generous heart, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His legacy lives on through his family, the many children whose lives he touched, and the countless friends who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed. Cutshall Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. At the request of Tom, there will be no service or visitation.
