William Matthew "Matt" Dexter

Matt is survived by his son, William “Brody” Dexter (Carly); his mother, Theresa Rainey (Billy); his sister, Dawn Laster (Brad); his two other special sisters, Ferrin Calvert (Keith) and Carlynn Crawford (Jeff); his nieces and nephews, Tyler Smith (Jenna), Taylor LaFever (Hunter), and Jaxson Laster; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tatum Smith, Baylor LaFever, Kohen Smith, Bennett LaFever, and Charlie Grace LaFever; his uncle, W.J. Deese (Linda); and a host of other loved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Stanley Dexter; his grandparents, W.T. and Betty Dexter and Willard R. and Juanita Deese; and his uncles, Havis R. Deese and Nolan Lee Deese.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel, officiated by Rev. Mike Lee, Bro. Billy Glover, and Dianne Harris. Honorary pallbearers include his special group of friends: Bobby Bonds, Joey Brown, Stephen Cutshall, Claude Dalton, Dr. Al Flannery, Heath Hamm, Glenn Ray Harris, Little David Johnson, Ronald Jones, Kelly Milligan, Billy Newcomb, Anthony Powell, Alan Smith, Johnny Southward, Dale Wadkins, Steve Wadkins, Jerry Wayne White, Big Sidney Whitehurst, and Lil Sidney Whitehurst.
